He's still an idiot and a misguided elitist hypocrite...but we appreciate his honesty.
In an interview set to air tonight on CNN, Obama supporter and actor Matt Damon admitted he has had a change of heart when it comes to the president. According to Damon, Obama hasn’t come through on his promises.
Piers Morgan pointedly asked Damon, who campaigned for Obama in 2008, if Damon was happy with Obama and still a fan. Damon responded, “No. No. I really think he misinterpreted his mandate.” He went on to quote a friend who said, “I no longer hope for audacity.”

Obama Cheers for Higher Gas Prices, Says Barbour
WASHINGTON — Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour, a potential Republican presidential contender, accused the Obama administration Wednesday of favoring a run-up in gas prices to prod consumers to buy more fuel-efficient cars.
Barbour suggested that President Barack Obama wants to see higher energy taxes that would lead to more expensive gasoline. But his comments came amid a spike in gas prices that has been primarily driven by unrest in the Middle East, particularly Libya, that has diminished crude oil production. That, coupled with increased demand, has pushed prices to almost $3.39 per gallon, according to auto club AAA.
Barbour cited 2008 comments from Steven Chu, now Obama's energy secretary, that a gradual increase in gasoline taxes could coax consumers into dumping their gas-guzzlers and finding homes closer to where they work. Chu, then a Nobel Prize-winning professor, argued that higher costs per gallon could force investments in alternative fuels and spur cleaner energy sources READ MORE...

Rep. Trent Franks Calls For Impeaching Obama If He Doesn’t Reverse Course On The Defense Of Marriage Act
Last year, Rep. Lamar Smith (R-TX) hinted at impeaching the president over the issue of immigration, saying that Obama was "awfully close" to violating his oath of office. Rep. Tim Walberg (R-MI) followed up by threatening impeachment proceedings against Obama because of the phantom "birth certificate" issue.
Now, in the right's furor over the administration's announcement that it will not defend the constitutionality of Section 3 of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), Rep. Trent Franks (R-AZ) is calling for Obama to be impeached.

But Obama, in his most candid moments, acknowledged that race was still a problem. In May 2010, he told guests at a private White House dinner that race was probably a key component in the rising opposition to his presidency from conservatives, especially right-wing activists in the anti-incumbent "Tea Party" movement that was then surging across the country. Many middle-class and working-class whites felt aggrieved and resentful that the federal government was helping other groups, including bankers, automakers, irresponsible people who had defaulted on their mortgages, and the poor, but wasn't helping them nearly enough, he said.
A guest suggested that when Tea Party activists said they wanted to "take back" their country, their real motivation was to stir up anger and anxiety at having a black president, and Obama didn't dispute the idea. BERLIN (New York Times) - Two United States airmen were killed and two injured on Wednesday when a gunman opened fire on an American military bus at the Frankfurt airport, according to American military officials in Europe.
The names of the dead were being withheld pending notification of the families, the officials said. President Obama told reporters in Washington that he was "saddened and outraged" by the attack, and called for the perpetrators to be brought to justice.
The suspected gunman, who is in custody, is 21-year-old Kosovar who lives in Frankfurt, according to a city police spokesman, Manfred Füllhardt.

ANGRY MOB SURROUNDS WISCONSIN LAWMAKER
A Wisconsin Republican lawmaker was chased around the capitol building and surrounded by an angry crowd of protestors in what eyewitnesses described as a traumatic and scary incident.
Sen. Glenn Grothman told Fox News Radio he was trying to get inside the capitol building when he was confronted by the protestors. The entire incident was captured on video and posted on You Tube.
“To be honest, I’ve walked through that crowd many times and never really had a problem until now,” he said. “But some of those people looked deranged.”

Attorney General Eric Holder finally got fed up Tuesday with claims that the Justice Department went easy in a voting rights case against members of the New Black Panther Party because they are African American.
