As people around the world began reacting to the news of Osama Bin Laden's death with a mix of joy and relief, the 23-year-old Mendenhall took a different approach. He went on a Twitter rampage against those people that took pleasure in Bin Laden's death, and made it clear he's not convinced Bin Laden was responsible for the 9/11 attacks.

"We'll never know what really happened," Mendenhall tweeted. "I just have a hard time believing a plane could take a skyscraper down demolition style."

Mendenhall got in trouble with his Tweets back in March, too, after Vikings running back Adrian Peterson had compared being an NFL player to "modern-day slavery."

Mendenhall - who is entering the third year of a five-year, $9.855 million that included $7.125 million in guaranteed money - agreed.

WAS MENDENHALL INDOCTRINATED?

Mendenhall played his college football at the University of Illinois. With all of the indoctrination going on in our college classrooms across the country, are people really surprised he thinks the way he does?

Radical professors are all over our universities indoctrinating our youth, but where Mendenhall attended college is known for one of the most radical, Bill Ayers. David Horowitz of "Discover the Networks", a former radical himself, knows Ayers well.

Ayers taught at the University of Illinois-Chicago, and was very well known at all Illinois campuses. And he wasn't the only radical professor who taught there..

I’m curious what taking power from the rich and giving it to the poor actually means. Most of the poor are too stupid or uneducated to think through their philosophy. But what does that even mean? They envision the poor and uneducated being responsible for large corporations. I know in actuality what it’s all code for but what do the ignorant would-be serfs underneath them actually envision as a practical reality? The problem is that the ‘poor’ in American have no idea how good they have it. Guess where Van Jones is popping up now? The former Green Jobs Czar shared emcee duties at the Brave New Voices Speak Green poetry slam — a competition where “youth from around the country, ages 13 – 24, compete for the opportunity to travel on behalf of Youth Speaks to some of the key conferences and summits on the Environment to date.” The topic of this year’s event? Global warming.

As you’ll see, the young poets stayed on point. One blasted BP head Tony Hayward and made sure to include the “F” word and mock the man’s wife. Another said Bush didn’t deserve his second term, and alluded to the former President not caring about hurricane Katrina.

That’s where Van Jones comes in. This year’s annual poetry slam was held in L.A. and featured the deposed Green Czar. After the event, Jones spoke candidly about young people embracing the green movement as “social justice,” and how that’s been his plan for the last 10 years.

“To see young people, this new generation, they have a new vision for the environment,” he said. “They don’t see the distinction between social justice and the environment — they want to see healthy people and healthy planet. That‘s what I’ve been talking about for 10 years.”

He went on to call the poems and their messages “beautiful.”

In July, the National Endowment for the Humanities sponsored a workshop on “History and Commemoration: The Legacies of the Pacific War in WWII” for college professors in Hawaii. Professor Penelope Blake, a veteran professor of Humanities at Rock Valley College in Rockford, Ill., was one of 25 American scholars chosen to attend the workshop, but was reportedly disheartened to find the conference “driven by an overt political bias and a blatant anti-American agenda.”

Professor Blake is now reportedly calling on Congress to implement better oversight over the NEH. In a letter addressed directly to her Illinois congressman, Rep. Don Manzullo, Blake documents conference details and asks him to vote against NEH funding for future events. According to PowerLine, copies of the letter have also been delivered to members of the NEH council and NEH chair Jim Leach.

Dear Congressman Manzullo:

As one of twenty-five American scholars chosen to participate in the recent National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Workshop, “History and Commemoration: Legacies of the Pacific War in WWII,” at the University of Hawaii, East-West Center, I am writing to ask you to vote against approval of 2011 funding for future workshops until the NEH can account for the violation of its stated objective to foster “a mutual respect for the diverse beliefs and values of all persons and groups” (NEH Budget Request, 2011).

In my thirty years as a professor in upper education, I have never witnessed nor participated in a more extremist, agenda-driven, revisionist conference, nearly devoid of rhetorical balance and historical context for the arguments presented.

In both the required preparatory readings for the conference, as well as the scholarly presentations, I found the overriding messages to include the following:

1. The U.S. military and its veterans constitute an imperialistic, oppressive force which has created and perpetuated its own mythology of liberation and heroism, insisting on a “pristine collective memory” of the war. The authors/presenters equate this to Japan’s almost total amnesia and denial about its own war atrocities (Fujitani, White, Yoneyama, 9, 23). One presenter specifically wrote about turning down a job offer when he realized that his office would overlook a fleet of U.S. Naval warships, “the symbol of American power and the symbol of our [Hawaiians'] dispossession…I decided they could not pay me enough” (Osorio 5). Later he claimed that electric and oil companies were at the root of WWII, and that the U.S. developed a naval base at Pearl Harbor to ensure that its own coasts would not be attacked (9, 13).

2. The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor should be seen from the perspective of Japan being a victim of western oppression (one speaker likened the attack to 9-11, saying that the U.S. could be seen as “both victim and aggressor” in both attacks); that American “imperial expansion” forced Japan’s hand: “For the Japanese, it was a war to defend their unique culture against Western Imperialism” (Yoneyama 335-336); and the Pearl Harbor attack could be seen as a “pre-emptive strike.” (No mention of the main reason for the Pearl Harbor attack: the U.S. had cut off Japan’s oil supply in order to stop the wholesale slaughter of Chinese civilians at the hands of the Japanese military.) Another author argued that the Japanese attack was no more “infamous” or “sneaky” than American actions in Korea or Vietnam (Rosenberg 31-32). READ MORE...

ANOTHER HARVARD CREEP: Obama Dodges Senate: He’ll Name Radical Progressive Elizabeth Warren as Consumer Agency Advisor.

President Obama plans to announce this week that he will appoint Elizabeth Warren, the Harvard Law School professor who initially proposed the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), to lead the effort to get the new federal agency up and running.

According to reports, the president will appoint Warren to a special advisory role for the White House and Treasury Department. The maneuver will allow her to act as an interim head of the CFPB. It also will enable her to begin setting up the agency immediately without involving the U.S. Senate in a confirmation process and prevent a possible filibuster that would otherwise block her nomination.

Warren has risen to prominence among progressives as chair of the Congressional Oversight Panel of the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) and many on the Left consider her a formidable force to challenge Wall Street and the banking industry.
