In Obama's world, Democrats are for kids and Republicans are for corporate jets. That is a sharp distinction that could help put the GOP on defensive, but it may not be enough to persuade Republicans to change their posture on the debt-ceiling talks.
Republicans have cast Obama as a tax-raiser and a Big-Government spender. This was his jujitsu move to turn their arguments against them. With a hint of disdain, Obama even dredged up the death of Osama bin Laden to score a political point.

Stossel vs Coulter on Legalizing Drugs
Unlike when liberals are involved in a debate, the conservative and the libertarian both make excellent points. (Which is why we believe that voting 'anything but democrat' is good for America)
We rarely disagree with Stossel or Coulter and both are very intelligent, but we have to side with Coulter on this one. We already have enough lazy people in America who are not looking for work and aren't on drugs collecting a welfare check or unemployment check.
America doesn't need any additional lazy, stoned, high, tired, impaired drug users and addicts who will be promised a free check from the democrats, courtesy of the taxpayer, to sit at home and do nothing all day but breed and vote 'D' down the line.
Eliminate the welfare state and maybe we can start with legalizing weed.

House clears Indian, black farmer settlements
In 1997’s Pigford vs. Glickman case, approximately 400 African (hyphen) American farmers sued the US Department of Agriculture claiming racial discrimination from 1983-1997. When the case was settled an estimated 2,000-3,000 claims were expected to be filed with awards reaching $50,000 each.
Today, nearly 92,000 black ‘farmers’ are claiming ‘Pigford’ reparations — 5 times the number of blacks who were operating farms at the time.
The 2007 Agricultural Census shows a total of 39,697 ‘Black or African-American’ farm operators — keep in mind that’s 10 years after the last ‘Pigford’ year. Interesting that the National Black Farmers Association puts their 2007 figures at only 18,000. In short, a minimum of 500% of all ‘Pigford’ black farmers were discriminated against.
To date almost $1 billion has been paid or credited to the black farmers under the settlement’s consent decree. And that’s not enough. As of February 2010, President Obama and Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack promised an additional $1.15 billion to cover remaining claims. READ MORE...

Sharpton Uses Weird Handouts-as-Food Analogy to Shame Audience
Al Sharpton can‘t figure out why some in his radio audience aren’t enthusiastic about the upcoming elections and seemingly the Democrats’ chances in them. But instead of building his listeners up during his Tuesday show, he chided them for inaction, and used an odd food analogy essentially comparing Democrats to a soup kitchen:

But, I just don’t understand that I mean if you hungry and somebody starts feeding you after others wouldn’t give you anything and in fact was taking away your possibility to get something.
Do you take a position unless I get a full seven course meal, I’m not eating anything, or do you start eating because finally because the hunger barrier has been reversed and now we have to build up to a nutritious meal. I mean I just don’t get it. Or maybe I do.
Radioequalizer also points out that Sharpton “violated the first rule of talk hosting: never turn against the audience. Never, never, never.“ After questioning how some could think they have the ”luxury“ of deciding whether or not they should be involved ”in anything and everything that can help you,” Sharpton continues the assault on his listeners:
Maybe some people just don’t want to do nothing, no matter what. Just sit down and complain let everybody else do the hard lifting for them. Maybe I do get it. Maybe a lot of you just won’t face that you’re part of that.
Chastising voters has been popular as of late. Vice President Biden recently told supporters to “buck up” and “stop whining,” and yesterday called a room full of donors “the dullest audience I’ve ever spoken to.” In this month’s issue of Rolling Stone, President Obama says the idea that “people are sitting on their hands complaining, is just irresponsible.” And last week John Kerry joined the choir when he said that voters are easily swayed by “simple slogans.”

The number of Americans receiving food stamps rose to a record 41.8 million in July as the jobless rate hovered near a 27-year high, the government said.
Recipients of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program subsidies for food purchases jumped 18 percent from a year earlier and increased 1.4 percent from June, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said today in a statement on its website. Participation has set records for 20 straight months.
Unemployment in September may have reached 9.7 percent, according to a Bloomberg News survey of analysts in advance of the release of last month’s rate on Oct. 8. Unemployment was 9.6 percent in July, near levels last seen in 1983.
An average of 43.3 million people, more than an eighth of the population, will get food stamps each month in the year that began Oct. 1, according to White House estimates.

Over $11 Million in California Welfare Funds Spent in Vegas Casinos
Millions more were spent in Hawaii, Miami, Guam and elsewhere. In all, the LA Times has learned that $69 million in California welfare funds meant to help the needy have been spent outside the state in recent years on a variety of luxuries, including Las Vegas slot machines, Hawaiian vacations and cruise ships sailing from Miami.
Round-trip flights from Los Angeles to Honolulu on Orbitz.com Sunday started at $419 — more than 80% of the average monthly cash benefit for a single parent of two on CalWorks, the state’s main aid program.
“How they can go somewhere like Hawaii and be legit on aid … they can’t,” said Robert Hollenbeck, a fraud investigator for the Fresno County district attorney’s office. “This is money for basic subsistence needs.” …
Of the nearly $12 million accessed in Las Vegas, more than $1 million was spent or withdrawn at shops and casino hotels on, or within a few blocks of, the 4.5-mile strip. The list includes $8,968 at the Tropicana, $7,995 at the Venetian and its Grand Canal Shoppes, and $1,332 at Tix 4 Tonight, seller of discount admission for such acts as Cirque du Soleil.
Although many Las Vegas casinos block the use of welfare cards in ATMs on gambling floors, more than $34,700 has been spent or withdrawn from the ATM at a 7-Eleven in the shadow of Steve Wynn’s new Encore casino and a couple of blocks south of Circus Circus. …

In an new video released by WBZ-TV in Boston, Obama’s aunt Zeituni Onyango praises America for being a country where one “can do whatever you want when you live here,” yet believes she doesn’t owe the country anything despite living here illegally for years.
As reporter Jonathan Elias writes:
Despite what‘s she’s been given, Zeituni Onyango said flatly that she owes this country nothing in return. “But, it’s given you so much?” Elias asked. “So? It’s a free country under God,” was her terse response.
Elias then asked about her being a burden to the taxpayers:
When asked why the taxpayers should be burdened with her needs, the feisty Zeituni said, “This country is owned by almighty God. You people who preach Jesus Christ almighty God and the rest of it, you are here to help people, help the poor, help other countries and help women. That’s what the United States is supposed to do? And you have to give me my right [like any other] person’s right.”
Toward the end of the interview she said she doesn’t understand why people are upset: “That‘s God’s miracles,” she said. “Don’t you believe in miracles?”

Great news: Record number of Americans on public dole. One in six and growing..
Oh, it's growing alright..
For some, this will just prove how prescient Congress has been to create a vast network of social programs that combat poverty. Others may wonder what the endgame looks like when one in six Americans now receive public subsidies through Medicaid, unemployment, or other welfare programs. That ratio is a new record, according to USA Today:
Government anti-poverty programs that have grown to meet the needs of recession victims now serve a record one in six Americans and are continuing to expand.
More than 50 million Americans are on Medicaid, the federal-state program aimed principally at the poor, a survey of state data by USA TODAY shows. That’s up at least 17% since the recession began in December 2007.
Think the Medicaid growth comes from the passage of ObamaCare in March? Think again. The expansion comes from the Great Recession and the loss of millions of jobs. The ObamaCare expansion will come on top of the additions to the enrollments over the last two years, and that has major implications for health care providers and customers alike:
The program has grown even before the new health care law adds about 16 million people, beginning in 2014. That has strained doctors. “Private physicians are already indicating that they’re at their limit,” says Dan Hawkins of the National Association of Community Health Centers. READ MORE...
