Home Depot Co-Founder Blasts Obama: Even ‘Brain-Dead Economists’ Get It

First it was Steve Wynn, head of the famed Wynn resort empire, speaking out against Obama. Now its Bernie Marcus, co-founder of The Home Depot.

In an interview with Investor’s Business Daily (IBD), Marcus blasted Obama and his policies, saying “even brain-dead economists understand that when you raise taxes, you cost jobs.”

That’s some tough talk. But really, it’s only the beginning:

A rise in the number of Americans filing new claims for unemployment benefits suggested the reacceleration in output would not be as strong as had previously anticipated.

The Philadelphia Federal Reserve Bank said its business activity index rose to 3.2 from minus 7.7 in June, which was the lowest since July 2009. The rise beat economists' expectations for a reading of 2.0.

Resort Mogul Steve Wynn Slams Obama’s Anti-Business Fear Mongering

Publicly-traded companies hold quarterly conference calls where investors are given updates on the state of the company and often hear about positive plans for the future.

Just yesterday, Wynn Resorts (WYNN) CEO Steve Wynn was speaking on a company conference call when he unleashed on President Obama, ranting about what Wynn sees as anti-business, socialist policies that are frightening companies as well as customers.

This not the first time that Mr. Wynn has spoken so bluntly about the administration and his feelings about policies that are holding back the recovery. In April, Wynn was on Fox News with Neil Cavuto and talked about “the gross irresponsibility of the government”:

Back in 2009, the Glenn Beck program was the first major media outlet to air a clip of Ron Bloom, the Obama Administrations Car Czar, praising the violent tactics of Mao Zedong . Bloom is a senior official in the Obama Administration. No lightweight, his current duties include serving as Senior Advisor to the Secretary of the Treasury, director of the President’s Task Force on the Automotive Industry and also the Administration’s Senior Counselor for Manufacturing Policy. Mr. Bloom has a long past as a labor negotiator and union lawyer working for the United Steelworkers union since the mid nineties. So when the video surfaced of this top White House official praising the Chinese communist, Beck used the clip to help build the growing narrative of Obama officials admiration of aggressive and oppressive governments. Of course it can often seem that these reveling details are lost in the fast moving news cycles and giant machinery of the bureaucratic system. Congressman Takes It to Obama: 'Quit Lying!'

Illinois Congressman Joe Walsh accused President Barack Obama in a video released Wednesday of "lying" about the impact of not raising the national debt ceiling in the next three weeks and went on to ask, "Have you no shame, sir?"

Republican Rep. Joe Walsh says "President Obama, quit lying," in the video posted online. He says there is "plenty of money" to pay debt and cover Social Security even if the limit isn't raised.

Walsh claims Obama will not get congressional approval to increase the $14.3 trillion debt limit unless the Democratic president backs a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution, which Obama opposes. Obama Threatens to Withhold Social Security Checks from Seniors and Vets

President Barack Obama raised the stakes in the third straight day of budget talks on Tuesday by warning that senior citizens and veterans may suffer first if the debt ceiling is not raised by August 2.

The president said in an interview with U.S. television network CBS that checks to recipients of the Social Security retirement program may not go out in early August if he and congressional leaders do not agree on a debt deal.

"I cannot guarantee that those checks go out on August 3rd if we haven't resolved this issue," Obama said. "Because there may simply not be the money in the coffers to do it," Obama said. He said veterans checks and disability benefits could also be affected without a deal.

The number of Americans filing claims for unemployment benefits barely fell last week, a government report showed on Thursday, suggesting the labor market was struggling to regain momentum.

The former Hawaii elections clerk who has claimed he was told by his superiors a long-form birth certificate for Barack Obama did not exist in the Aloha State says the release of what is purported to be the president's original birth record does not resolve the main issues surrounding Obama and the "overall filth" in Washington.
