Remember when President Obama trimmed a mere $100 million from his budget of a trillion dollars and was haild for his fiscal responsibility by the sycophantic press? Remember when Sens. Nelson and Snowe trimmed $3 billion from the stimulus bill reducing it to a mere $787 billion and were hailed as bastions of fiscal responsibility? Now, $54 billion can be saved on principle and we shouldn't becuase it only amounts to a fraction of a percent? Reid doesn't know anything about principle or numbers?
