U.S. Republican Party Chairman Michael Steele contended that Obama won the prize as a result of his "star power" rather than meaningful accomplishments.
"The real question Americans are asking is, What has President Obama actually accomplished?" Steele said.

ReplyDeleteThe deadline for the submission of names to be considered for the Nobel prize is February 1. That means that Obama had been President for 11 days. What did he accomplish in those 11 days...nada. Maybe it was given for his voting 4 times for infanticide, or his 129 times voting "present" in the Illinois senate or for his 143 days spent as a U.S. senator before disappearing to run for president or his "America Sucks" world tour. Real accomplishments.

In 2007 Irena was up for the Nobel Peace Prize. She was not selected. Instead, AL GORE won, for a pseudo political movement and a global warming documentary riddled with inaccuracies and lies.
