Obama administration climate czar Carol Browner on Wednesday rejected claims that e-mails stolen from a British university show climate scientists trumped up global warming numbers, saying she considers the science settled.
"I'm sticking with the 2,500 scientists. These people have been studying this issue for a very long time and agree this problem is real," said Ms. Browner, who President Obama has tapped as his chief of policy on global warming.
The e-mails were hacked from the Climate Research Unit at the University of East Anglia and have come to light over the last week. They appear to show scientists saying they've smoothed over data that doesn't back up their claims of warming, and pondering how to freeze out scientists who disagree with them. READ MORE...

Barack Obama’s Energy Czar, Carol Browner, appeared on Fox & Friend’s to discuss the “cap & trade” Obama energy tax on all Americans that recently passed the House by a narrow majority. One might assume that the Obama energy czar would have read the bill since after all she is the energy czar. However, you know what happens when you ASS-U-ME!
As reported by Ed Morrissey at Hot Air, after Fox’s Steve Doocy asks Browner whether she has read the entire “cap and Tax” bill, she gets defensive and declares that it is unfair that Doocy blindsided her. Blindsided for asking whether she read the bill that she was discussing? Are you joking? She was asked a simple question as to whether she read the bill and that is supposed to be a gotcha question? Sadly, no one read this bill in the House but saw fit to inflict it upon “WE THE PEOPLE”.
For those of you who do not understand what an 'elitist' is, this woman is a perfect example. She doesn't 'think' Americans are stupid; she's quite sure of it.

In 1995 Browner used her position at the EPA to lobby more than 100 grassroots environmental groups to oppose the Republican-led Congress, faxing out documents condemning the GOP’s regulatory initiatives. In a rare show of political unity, Republicans and Democrats alike impugned Browner, accusing her of violating the Anti-Lobbying Act.
Browner, on her final day as Clinton EPA chief in 2001, ordered a computer technician to delete all her computer files, in direct violation of a federal judge’s order requiring the agency to preserve those files. When questioned about her actions, Browner claimed that her computer had contained no work-related material, and that she had merely purged the hard drive of such innocuous items as computer games — as a courtesy to incoming staffers of the Bush administration.
According to Manhattan Institute scholar Max Schulz, Browner “was the driving force behind the federal government’s effort to force General Electric Co. to spend $490 million to dredge New York’s Hudson River to rid it of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) that — because they were buried under layers of silt — posed no environmental harm.” Some of Browner’s employees ultimately faced criminal charges for falsifying evidence and tampering with lab results.
