WHEN DEMOCRATS RULE: Detroit may close 'half of its public schools' & Camden, NJ braces for deep police, fire cuts. Union Benefits to blame?

Two perfect example of what happens when you vote democrat from bottom to top.

CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) - Yet another crisis is upon this burdened city, among the most impoverished and crime-ridden in the country.

Deep layoffs of city workers go into effect on Tuesday - cutting up to 383 jobs, or one-fourth of the city's employees.

The exact number depends on whether public workers' unions make last-minute concessions. In any case, the cuts are likely to be deep - and could be a blow to the quality of life in a city where more than half the 80,000 residents, mostly black and Hispanic, live in poverty.

Worst case, the layoffs could slash half the police force and one-third of the fire department for this city just across the Delaware River from Philadelphia. Practically every other job in the city is likely to be affected. READ MORE...

"How's that 'liberalism' working out for the 'ghetto-fabulous' cities of Detroit and Camden?"

Detroit — Detroit Public Schools would close nearly half of its schools in the next two years, and increase high school class sizes to 62 by the following year, under a deficit-reduction plan filed with the state.

The plan, part of a monthly update Emergency Financial Manager Robert Bobb gives the Department of Education, was filed late Monday to provide insight into Bobb's progress in his attempt to slash a $327 million deficit in the district to zero over the next several years. Under it, the district would slim down from 142 schools now to 72 during 2012-13. READ MORE...

  1. Come to Minneapolis. Budget problems?-- Sure. Every city has them. But good-government Democrats have served us well, on the main.

  2. Thats so funny. Are you serious? Somalia and Islam have invaded, N. Minneapolis is a ghetto with a climbing murder rate. Minorities, like every city, have ruined that city and as for democrats sucking federal dollars from the good people of Maine, Nebraska, Arizona, Utah, Oklahoma and bringing it back to that future shithole isn't going to do nothing to stop it. You have a scumbag Muslim (fake Muslim) congressman , a loser Senator Al Franken who stole an election from Norm Coleman. If not for your governor and Bachmann, you would follow Cali and Mass and the dumbest voter state.

  3. Sorry you feel that way about minorities. The governor is Mark Dayton. Michele Bachmann is popular in her district, but here impact statewide is pretty much confined to district 6. She's a Washington person, not St. Paul. But Minnesota will solve its budget problems in a sound reasonable way. Like most major cities, there's a ghetto, but I'd recheck the violent crime rates, they've fallen considerably. I love it here.

  4. Feel what way? Honest about them? I'm Cuban and tell it like it is kid. You can't tell me that when "minorities" take over a neighborhood, they don't destroy it. Maybe you better get your head out of your professors ass and take a trip outside of your box. I will name 20 neighborhoods in the country that have been destroyed since being taken over with blacks/hispanics to your one that hasn't. I just know more than you do, don't get mad. Live in denial all you want, it doesn't make you right.

It doesn't make someone racist or prejudiced because they state a fact about a statistic. Do you know how PC that sounds? You people are so stupid.
