The end of the Blue Dogs? Democrat jumps ship and joins the republican party. 'Bullied into voting for health care law'

Look for those self-loathing white racist progressives to attack this guy now that he's a republican.

Meet Ashley Bell, a young man who looked to have a bright future in the Democratic Party. Now he looks for a brighter future — as a Republican. The former national president of College Democrats of America has joined an exodus of moderates and conservatives from the Democratic Party in the South after the midterm elections:

For Democrats, Ashley Bell was the kind of comer that a party builds a future on: A young African American lawyer, he served as president of the College Democrats of America, advised presidential candidateJohn Edwards and spoke at the 2004 Democratic National Convention in Boston.

But after his party’s midterm beat-down in November, Bell, a commissioner in northern Georgia’s Hall County, jumped ship. He joined the Republicans.
Bell, 30, said he had serious issues with the healthcare law and believed that conservative “blue dog” Democrats in Congress who shared his values had been bullied into voting for it. READ MORE...

NOTE- That's all the republicans need right now is another democrat and possible future RINO in their party. Anyone who was 'bullied' into voting for anything is a coward. There's enough cowards in both parties. We need politicians with a spine to go to Washington and fight for what they belive in and who will refuse to be bullied by anyone. We need more representitives like Ron and Rand Paul, Allen West, Michele Bachmann and Jim Demint.

Ashley Bell also worked for John Edwards, and that's scary because John Edwards supporters are about as dumb as the Hillary Clinton PUMA members and Obama supporters combined.

Ronald Reagan switched parties and turned out to be a pretty good republican President, so anythings possible, but don't hold your breath.

  1. How can a man who had a bright future in the democratic party have a bright future in the republican party? we need to make them be independants if they do not stand up for OUR values... a big tent is what got us in the situation with RINOS like Scott Brown, McCain, Graham etc... when they are RINOS, they make us ALL look bad.. we need to raise our standards and expectations to follow the CONSTITUTION!' this had better NOT be yet another ploy to undermine conservatism in our nations capitol.
