UPDATE- BREAKING NEWS! ARMY: 13 DEAD, 31 HURT IN ATTACKS AT FORT HOOD; ONE SUSPECT WOUNDED; MAJOR MALIK NADAL HASAN; LIBERALS BAFFLED..

*Update- According to Brian Ross at ABC, Hasan was a convert to Islam. The suspects cousin stated on FOX news that MAJOR Malik Nadal Hason was born a muslim and attended Virginia Tech University. A former co-worker, Col. Terry Lee stated that Malik Nadal Hason said, 'Muslims shouldn't be fighting Muslims' and praised the converted Muslim and Little Rock shooter of the Army recruiters by saying, 'it's about time a Muslim stood up to the armed forces.'

Coincidence? Homegrown terrorism?

UPDATE- There are reports confirming that the suspect is NOT dead, but wounded and in stable condition. Reports also state he acted alone..

FORT HOOD, Texas – A soldier opened fire at a U.S. Army base in Fort Hood, Texas on Thursday, unleashing a stream of gunfire that left 12 people dead and 31 wounded. Authorities killed the gunman, and apprehended two other soldiers suspected in the attack.

The shooting began around 1:30 p.m., Lt. Gen. Bob Cone said at a news conference. He said all the casualties took place at the base's Soldier Readiness Center, where soldiers who are about to be deployed or who are returning undergo medical screening.

"It's a terrible tragedy. It's stunning," Cone said.

Little was known about the three soldiers suspected of taking part in the attack. The soldier used two handguns, Cone said. It was not clear if the gunman had stopped to reload.

A graduation ceremony for soldiers who finished college courses while deployed was going on in an auditorium at the Readiness Center at the time of the shooting, said Sgt. Rebekah Lampam, a Fort Hood spokeswoman.

Greg Schanepp, U.S. Rep. John Carter's regional director in Texas, was representing Carter at the graduation, said John Stone, a spokesman for Carter, whose district includes the Army post.

Schanepp was at the ceremony when a soldier who had been shot in the back came running toward him and alerted him of the shooting, Stone said. The soldier told Schanepp not to go in the direction of the shooter, he said. Stone said he believes Schanepp was in the theater.

The base was locked down after the shootings. The wounded were dispersed among hospitals in central Texas, Cone said.

In Washington, President Barack Obama called the shooting "a horrific outburst of violence." He said it's a tragedy to lose a soldier overseas and even more horrifying when they come under fire at an Army base on American soil.

"We will make sure that we get answers to every single question about this horrible incident," the commander in chief said. "We are going to stay on this."

Covering 339 square miles, Fort Hood is the largest active duty armored post in the United States. Home to about 52,000 troops as of earlier this year, the sprawling base is located halfway between Austin and Waco.

Around the country, some bases stepped up security precautions, but no others were locked down.

Fort Hood officially opened on Sept. 18, 1942, and was named in honor of Gen. John Bell Hood. It has been continuously used for armored training and is charged with maintaining readiness for combat missions. READ MORE...

  1. This is a horrible incident, but why don't you wait until the dead are buried at least, before you try to make it about politics?

  2. umm, i believe waiting for people to be 'buried' to make the point that this could of been preventable had the politically correct, easily offended ass kissing liberals had taken 'homegrown terrosism' and jihad etc more serious as a stupid comment by you. #1, it isn't 'political' it's the truth. people like Michael Savage have been accused of being a racist islamaphobe, probably by people like you, because no one was taking this seriously and now look how many dead! injured! Why? you can't even investigate a man with a muslim last name because you might get attacked, sued or fired. So i think the writer makes a great point that had this country not had so many PUSSIES in it, we would have been looking into fucking MAJORS named 'Saddam Mohammed Hussein Whatever'- who have converted to Islam and in the military of all places...and asked why? Who is this guy? Muslims, the CAIR are all anti-American bastards. Get real.

  3. by the way, did you remember the recruiter murder and how the media tried to down play it? look now..will they wake up? look at our blacks in prison converting to Islam; why? we have mosques going up all over America going up like Burger Kings and these people are preaching hate on America. These people are backed by liberals. This does have something to do with politics since they make laws etc...Will this be a hate crime if a white soldier was shot in this rampage? Who signed that stupid ass law? a liberal did. Whats the AG gonna do, call this a 'man-made disaster?' A few bad apples? a thug? whats eric holder gonna do , pardon the other 2 suspects if they're caught alive? Islam is taking over America because we're letting them do it. Get some balls. It's time people start telling it like it is. When this shooting happened, I immediatly knew it was a converted muslim. Lucky guess right...

  5. Early reports say that the man was upset that he was about to be deployed.

    http://www.cnn.com/2009/US/11/05/texas.fort.hood.shootings/index.html

"The slain gunman was identified as Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, 39, a law enforcement source told CNN. Licensed in Virginia, Hasan was a psychiatrist who previously worked at Walter Reed Army Medical Center but more recently was practicing at Darnall Army Medical Center at Fort Hood, according to professional records.

"Hasan was scheduled to be deployed to Iraq, "and appeared to be upset about that," Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, R-Texas, said."

So maybe it's not American Jihad, but a stressed-out Major.

But don't let me prevent you from jumping to conclusions hours into the incident, and turning it on people you don't agree with politically. Shows how much more important scoring points is over getting to the truth.

You care about the victims. Sure.

  6. Our feckless president stuck to his teleprompter script for over 2 minutes before he addressed the shootings at Ford Hood. Book it that the media will splice out those 2 disgraceful minutes by tomorrow. This man is a national disgrace.

The partisan debauched woman who runs the Department Of Homeland Security attacked our returning troops about the possibility of them joining right-wing organizations, but a wears a blindfold for Muslim gunmen who kill American soldiers.

Tomorrow get out the barf bags---Obama and the media will spin this murder rampage until you feel a whirling sensation in your head.

  7. Who's the loser who thinks this guy was a stressed out major? lol...Yea..I believe his cousin 'nassan' over a Army Col. who actually worked with him and witnessed him make statements about it being 'about time a muslim stood up to the armed forces' after the little rock recruiter murderers by a converted muslim. He also made other false statements of fellow workers calling him names. What a toilet bug you are.

He wasn't stressed over the war, he didnt want to go because he believed muslims shouldn't be fighting muslims. Well, tuff shit, he shouldn't of joined the army. 'His' people shouldn't be threatening the U.S because they hate the 'western' way of life. He shouldn't have shot over 40 people because he needed a fuckin tampon you jerkoff.

I don't believe this site jumped to conclusions, they just reported a story and seen a link between jihad training camps close to the base and it seems like the rest is all reports from the AP NBC and ABC. Why don't you go crying to huff po and daily kos who are reporting this and probably blaming it on GW Bush. You're ignorant, do you know that?

I know, I know, Tea party people are really nazi's. What side are you on??

  8. Well, why don't we just blame the person who did it, not the Democrats or the Secretary of Homeland Security or the President. Or at the very least, wait until the bodies are cold before you use the victims to make political hay.

You Conservatives are big on accountability. Let's blame the person who did it.

  9. Our Muslim-in-chief is making arrangements with Muslim leaders across the world for a beer party to smooth things over.

The White House will twist the facts and declare that Hasan was a victim of of American racism.

A high ranking CAIR Muslim was overheard saying that Hasan caught a tough break by remaining alive, now he will have to wait for the 72 virgins.

  10. Hey jerkoff, the individual IS being blamed. Im a libertarian and why do you keep talking about politics your reject?

This Muslims behavior was reported to superiors and was either ignored, or wasn't taken seriously because of fear of being labeled anti-Muslim or a racist.

Political correctness? The point is because of liberals, we live in a society where everything comes down to race, religion, sexual preference etc..when questioning someones criminal or psychological behavior. Because of that, this man was able to keep his position of major after all of the strange comments and statments he made. Are you really that stupid dude?

    You must be a democrat.

  11. "Bend over backwards"----everyone was told to bend over backwards, to promote Muslims within the Intelligence and Military community.

OBAMA is the tree, that all the branches of Acorn, unions, ACLU, CAIR and the Marxist czar's sprout from.

This blood is on their hands.

    IMPEACH OBAMA
