Heartache: Tea Party candidate in Texas a 9/11 truther; Update: Medina responds

Six days ago, the big news out of Texas was that Tea Party activist and gubernatorial candidate Debra Medina came within the margin of error with Kay Bailey Hutchison, who barely clung to second place against incumbent Rick Perry. Today, Glenn Beck suffers heartbreak when Medina more or less cops to being a 9/11 Truther as well as a “constitutional conservative” candidate. “I think some very good questions raised have been raised in that regard,” Medina replies when Beck asks whether she believes that the American government was in any way involved in bringing down the World Trade Center towers on 9/11. Medina says she won’t take a position on a question where “good questions have been raised and haven’t been answered,” even though they have been answered for years. Beck and the others in his studio can’t quite believe their ears: READ MORE...

Update: Medina has issued the following statement:

NOTE- Like Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Charlie Rangel, Barack Obama, Barney Frank, Joe Biden, Barbara Boxer, Maxine Waters, Bobby Rush, Roland Burris, Al Franken and Chris Dodd embarrass the democratic party, and Lindsey Graham, John McCain, Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe embarrassing the republican party, you are going to have people like Medina tainting the Tea Party name. We have to eliminate ALL of these people from the parties they taint. Remember that the 'Tea Party' is a movement, and people like Medina will not last long. The people of the Tea Party movement have real strong principles.

  1. This woman can talk herself blue trying to backpeddle, but the damage has been done. She could be the nexus point where Birthers and Truthers shake hands. You knew it hadda happen.

  2. First of all she never said she was a truther. She answered badly and it should be obvious that she had no idea what she was talking about, not being a truther. People do that sometimes, they get backed into a corner and try to sound smart but it never works. It seems that Glenn violated his own principle #9 in that it is not unpatriotic to question or disagree with authority and that is what Debra was speaking about.

Second, Glenn has said numerous times to question with boldness and I question this. When Glenn refers to Perry as a progressive why does he support him so? Seems I remember him saying that he would rather be an island unto himself rather than associate with progressives. Now that Palin is supporting McCain how much do ya want to bet he will start saying warm fuzzy things about McCain.

Third, do we all remember Glenn's appearance on "The View"? I remember that went very badly for him and he came out with all kinds of excuses and did a whole segment of back peddling. I'm not saying he wasn't right but I am saying that he is no more special than anyone else. Anyone can have a bad day and Glenn most of all should realize that.

  3. Yea okay, blame it on Beck!!!???

There was only one answer you bonehead...when asked if you're a 9-11 truther, the answer is NO.

Give me a break. Where do these femwads come from. The men in this country are such pussies these days and really need to man up and stop posting dumb comments making excuses. What a coward society we live in.

That dumb scab is a 9-11 truther. Get over it and move on.,
