Alan Grayson is more awful than we thought (video)
Alan Grayson is likely the worst guy in Congress. That is saying a lot. I‘m not saying he’s the least effective congressman. He certainly might be–but, I‘m pretty sure he’s just a horrible guy. Like, the type of guy that you’d cry about your sister dating.
The latest example? He calls his opponent “Taliban Dan”–why? Because he said this:
‘She should submit to me.’ That’s in the Bible
He plays variations of that quote four times in his ad. I’d draw this out with lots of drama building commentary, but it’s not necessary. Here is the full context of the remark.
So, write a journal. Second, find a verse. I have a verse for my wife, I have verses for my wife. Don’t pick the ones that say, ‘She should submit to me.’ That’s in the Bible, but pick the ones that you’re supposed to do. So instead, ‘love your wife, even as Christ loved the Church and gave himself for it’ as opposed to ‘wives submit to your own husbands.’ She can pray that, if she wants to, but don’t you pray it.
In other words, he was saying the exact opposite of what he was accused of. By the way, for those trying to make Sherrod comparisons, Grayson isn’t denying he had the full context. He’s actually defending the commercial. See the video from the ad and the full context from Factcheck.org, who does a fantastic job telling the truth about Grayson.
This isn’t your typical political attack ad. It’s something only a truly awful person would be involved in. And, all evidence points to the conclusion that Alan Grayson is a truly awful person. Maybe he should be reelected. I can think of no better place for him than Congress.
