"Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.." - Winston Churchill
The Senate's votes this week on the pending government takeover of health care are highly instructive. With all 60 Democrats voting yes, and all 40 Republicans voting no, the simplistic homily that there is no difference between the parties has now proven to be a very costly fallacy.
This has been a persistent pattern all year. When campaigning for office in 2008, candidate Obama promised the American people a new era of post-partisanship, where he would bring Democrats and Republicans together to solve the nation's problems. There was nothing in Obama's ultraliberal background to suggest he would be remotely capable of this. Sure enough, since his election, this promise of post-partisanship has proven to be boob bait for the gullible.
President Obama's first initiative, the almost $1 trillion supposed "stimulus" bill, was passed on a virtual party-line vote, with almost all of the Democrats and almost none of the Republicans. Obama refused to make any significant concession to any Republican ideas for restoring economic growth. "I won the election," he told them in laughing their proposals down. But that is not what he told the voters to get their support. READ MORE...
MERRY CHRISTMAS! NOW BEND OVER TAXPAYERS.. ('Down Barney, down boy..')
Harry Reid is a dirty 'son of a bitch.' The term 'son of a bitch' is a form of profanity usually used to refer to a man who is nasty, rude or otherwise offensive. Harry Reid is just that and then some... He, like President Obama, want to 'spread the wealth.' Your wealth!
This is NOT a 'healthcare' bill, this is a 2000 page Marxism bill to control your life. Unbelievable..
Liberal democrat politicians like Reid and Pelosi are filthy stinking pigs who should rot in dirty jail cells for the damage they have done and continue to do to the United States of America. They took an oath and disgraced a nation..and they should pay for it...
Harry Reid playing Santa with your money..
We are approaching the eve of Christmas and maybe in that spirit, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid morphed into Santa Claus, giving out presents to the little boys and girls who were naughty and (not so) nice this year.
Of course, he was not using his own money.
America's overused credit card, issued by the Bank of China, may have to be used one more time to pay for Reid's deals. The majority leader traded to help ensure the votes of Sens. Ben Nelson, Mary Landrieu, Chris Dodd, Bernie Sanders and others representing 11 states by giving them special perks for staying on the health care bus that's about to drive us all over the financial cliff.
They may argue they weren't bribed, but they certainly were rewarded. The price was enormous.
Many decades ago when I was getting my start in politics, one of my first mentors was the legendary Democratic speaker of the California Assembly, the late Jesse Unruh. READ MORE...
UPDATE- MERRY CHRISTMAS, THE HEALTH CARE BILL PASSES 60-39. It's a shame the democrats don't realize that about 60% of the American people are against it, so they really ruined their Christmas. We hope those people remember who voted yes for the bill come November 2010. To see what's in the bill, click here. Get ready to be outraged.
It turns out that Sarah Palin is FAR more intelligent than the liberals who constantly attack her. It's probably because she has common sense and DOESN'T have an 'Ivy League' degree, which seems to make you good at comprehending one subject, BUT being a clueless idiot when it comes to EVERYTHING else.
Palin was right about her statement comparing rationing boards to 'death panels' after 'Politifact' the 'liberal non-objective' organization 'can't think' tank called her statement, 'Lie of the Year.' The liberals tried to spin it as if Palin meant there would be three 'Hitler looking goons' standing before a senior citizen and yelling 'die!' Only an idiot (NBC audience) would believe that...
Well there is a 'rationing board,' so Palin's statement was pretty accurate. If you're already a 'Palin hater' suffering from 'Palin Derangement Syndrome,' you can NOT be helped and facts and evidence are your worst enemy. What a shame...
Please read Palin's facebook statement and then watch the Senator Jim Demint VIDEO below. The democrats didn't count on anyone getting to page 1,020 of the bill..did they? Another reason Jim Demint is OUR frontrunner for President in 2012...if he runs..
From Palin's Facebook- Midnight Votes, Backroom Deals, and a Death Panel Yesterday at 7:52pm
Last weekend while you were preparing for the holidays with your family, Harry Reid’s Senate was making shady backroom deals to ram through the Democrat health care take-over. The Senate ended debate on this bill without even reading it. That and midnight weekend votes seem to be standard operating procedures in D.C. No one is certain of what’s in the bill, but Senator Jim DeMint spotted one shocking revelation regarding the section in the bill describing the Independent Medicare Advisory Board (now called the Independent Payment Advisory Board), which is a panel of bureaucrats charged with cutting health care costs on the backs of patients – also known as rationing. Apparently Reid and friends have changed the rules of the Senate so that the section of the bill dealing with this board can’t be repealed or amended without a 2/3 supermajority vote. Senator DeMint said:
“This is a rule change. It’s a pretty big deal. We will be passing a new law and at the same time creating a senate rule that makes it out of order to amend or even repeal the law. I’m not even sure that it’s constitutional, but if it is, it most certainly is a senate rule. I don’t see why the majority party wouldn’t put this in every bill. If you like your law, you most certainly would want it to have force for future senates. I mean, we want to bind future congresses. This goes to the fundamental purpose of senate rules: to prevent a tyrannical majority from trampling the rights of the minority or of future congresses.”
In other words, Democrats are protecting this rationing “death panel” from future change with a procedural hurdle. You have to ask why they’re so concerned about protecting this particular provision. Could it be because bureaucratic rationing is one important way Democrats want to “bend the cost curve” and keep health care spending down?
The Congressional Budget Office seems to think that such rationing has something to do with cost. In a letter to Harry Reid last week, CBO Director Douglas Elmendorf noted (with a number of caveats) that the bill’s calculations call for a reduction in Medicare’s spending rate by about 2 percent in the next two decades, but then he writes the kicker:
“It is unclear whether such a reduction in the growth rate could be achieved, and if so, whether it would be accomplished through greater efficiencies in the delivery of health care or would reduce access to care or diminish the quality of care.”
Though Nancy Pelosi and friends have tried to call “death panels” the “lie of the year,” this type of rationing – what the CBO calls “reduc[ed] access to care” and “diminish[ed] quality of care” – is precisely what I meant when I used that metaphor.
This health care bill is one of the most far-reaching and expensive expansions of the role of government into our lives. We’re talking about putting one-seventh of our economy under the government’s thumb. We’re also talking about something as intimate to our personal well-being as medical care.
This bill is so unpopular that people on the right and the left hate it. So why go through with it? The Senate is planning to vote on this on Christmas Eve. Why the rush? Though we will begin paying for this bill immediately, we will see no benefits for years. (That’s the trick that allowed the CBO to state that the bill won’t grow the deficit for the next ten years.)
The administration’s promises of transparency and bipartisanship have been broken one by one. This entire process has been defined by midnight votes on weekends, closed-door meetings with industry lobbyists, and payoffs to politicians willing to sell their principles for sweetheart deals. Is it any wonder that Americans are so disillusioned with their leaders in Washington?
This is about politics, not health care. Americans don’t want this bill. Americans don’t like this bill. Washington has stopped listening to us. But we’re paying attention, and 2010 is coming.
At first, Senator Jim DeMint starts off with a few points of parliamentary inquiry which seem rather dull, but like any good prosecutor, DeMint is carefully building a case — and his target is a particularly noxious clause in Harry Reid’s ObamaCare bill. On page 1020 of the text, DeMint discovers that Reid has created a rule binding future sessions of Congress to a supermajority requirement to overrule the bill’s rationing board, the Independent Medical Advisory Board, whose purpose (stated on page 1001) is to “reduce the per capita rate of growth in Medicare spending.” DeMint demands an explanation of how the Majority Leader can allow legislation to alter the rules of the Senate, both on the floor and in committee. The Weekly Standard has the key portion of the transcript: READ MORE...
Sales of new homes plunged unexpectedly last month to the lowest level since April, a sign the housing market recovery will be rocky.
The 11 percent slump from October's pace shows that consumers are taking their time following an extension of a deadline for first-time buyers to qualify for a tax credit. The incentive was set to expire at the end of November, but Congress pushed back the date to April 30 and expanded the program to include current homeowners who relocate.
"They don't have to act today," said David Crowe, chief economist at the National Association of Home Builders, who called the results "pretty awful."
New home sales data, released Wednesday, are a better indicator of future real estate activity than sales of previously occupied homes, but capture a smaller slice of the market. The new home figures tally sales agreements signed in November, while home resale numbers reflect contracts signed over the summer that were completed in November. READ MORE...
When you have really dumb economic advisors like Larry Summers, you can only 'expect' bad things to happen. Just click the link below to learn more about this king moron. Even liberals don't like him...that's pretty bad..
NOTE- We don't understand why the mainstream media uses the words 'unexpectedly' when it comes to slow home sales, economic growth and unemployment. Who didn't expect this? What are their names? We would like to know so we don't ever have to listen to them again....
Are these the same liberal idiot economist wanna-be's like Paul Krugman, Larry Summers, Christina Romer and Austan Goolsbee who have never ran a business or created a single job in their lifetime, but have degree's in economics? Are these the same economic retards from Berkeley, Harvard and the University of Chicago? If so, then EXPECT more bad news and decline down the road because these people have NO effin clue what they're doing UNLESS they are filling their own pockets.
We know PETER SCHIFF, one of the BEST economist's in the world, is NOT one of these people who are always 'unexpectedly' shocked when high unemployment and low housing sales numbers come out.
BUT Peter Schiff, the former financial advisor to economic genius Ron Paul, is NOT an OBAMA SUPPORTER, so therefore, he doesn't matter (according to liberals).
Peter is BEST known for his predictions of the housing bubble and collapse. In fact, Peter Schiff has made so many accurate predictions, he has been nicknamed 'Dr. Doom.' We just call him 'smart.' We also hope to call him 'Senator Schiff' as he's running against the filthy corrupt Senator Chris Dodd in Connecticut next year..
Peter understands that BIG government interfering in the housing market and private sector hurts small businesses, and will 'expectedly' f*** the economy up. It's why Obama's team of over 20 economic advisers and academic elitist airheads will not fix this economy. Mark our words...
VIDEO BELOW- Listen to the 'economists' disagree with AND laugh at Peter Schiff long before the recession, as he predicts back then- EXACTLY what happened to our economy recently.
Watch the video below, and ask yourself, 'why isn't this man on the Obama economic team?' We know why, but can YOU figure it out?
Peter destroys Art Laffer at around the 2:00 mark in this video. Art isn't a bad economist but he was definitely wrong on this one. Who's 'laff'n' now...
May 2009- What's so 'unexpectedly' about this?
Maybe one of Obama's economic advisers SHOULDN'T be a man who was voted America's WORST CEO of the year AND a man who sold parts to Iran that helped blow off the legs of our young men fighting in Iraq.
But that CEO Jeffrey Immelt, pictured above with Obama, who is the head honcho over at GE and NBC, stands to make billions of dollars off the taxpayers with universal healthcare and cap and trade, IF those bills pass. GE will get the contracts to the power grids that have to be built and to the medical record data base through 'healthmaginations.' All NBC has to do is slobber all over President Obama and run over 5000 commercials brainwashing it's shrinking audience that cap and trade, government run healthcare and Obama are the greatest things in the world. Just watch the 3 boys, Maddow, Olbermann and Matthews get 'thrills' up their leg every night talking about just how great Obama is with his 44% approval rating... Or at least when they take a rare night off of personally attacking Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann and Carrie Prejean for one hour straight...while ignoring all of the corruption that's going on in the 'democrat' controlled congress and the Obama administration. Don't worry folks, we have Glenn Beck for that stuff...
Why do you think we call NBC the 'Neo-Statist Barack Channel?'
Why do you think they are always deceiving their pathetic small audience and holding 'green' weeks.
Are the people who watch NBC really that naive and stupid? People are starting to 'unexpectedly' wake up and it's about time..
There is a long and sordid tradition of trying to socialise children by scaring them. The aim of such socialisation-through-fear is twofold: firstly, to get children to conform to the scaremongers’ values; secondly, to use children to influence, or at least to contain, their parents’ behaviour.
When I was a schoolchild in Stalinist Hungary, we were frequently warned about the numerous threats facing our glorious regime. I also recall that we were encouraged to lecture our errant parents about the new wonderful values being promoted by our brave, wise leaders. The Big Brothers of the 1940s saw children as tools of moral blackmail and social control. Today, in the twenty-first century, scaremongers see children in much the same way, exploiting their natural concern with the wonders of life to promote a message of shrill climate alarmism.
If you want to know how it works, watch the official opening video of the Copenhagen summit on climate change (see below). Titled ‘Please Help The World’, the four-minute film opens with happy children laughing and playing on swings. A sudden outburst of rain forces them all to rush for cover. The message is clear: the climate threatens our way of life. It then cuts to a young girl who is anxiously watching one TV news broadcaster after another reporting on impending environmental catastrophes. Then we see the young girl tucked into bed, sweetly asleep as she embraces her toy polar bear… but suddenly we’re drawn into her nightmare. She’s on a parched and eerie landscape; she looks frightened and desolate; suddenly the dry earth cracks and she runs in terror towards the shelter of a distant solitary tree. She drops her toy polar bear in a newly formed chasm and yells and screams as she holds on to the tree for dear life. The video ends with groups of children pleading with us: ‘Please help the world.’ You get the picture. READ MORE...

Senator Roland Burris is claiming credit for a provision in Harry Reid's "manager's amendment," unveiled Saturday morning, that could funnel money to ACORN through the health care bill.
On December 9, Burris, an Illinois Democrat, pledged that he would filibuster a health care bill without a public option. "If we have to get 60 and it comes back and it does not have a public option in it, I will not vote for it," he said. Then early last week he said he could vote for the bill if there were changes made to achieve the goals of the public option: "until this bill addresses cost, competition, and accountability in a meaningful way—it will not win [my vote]."
Asked last night before the Senate voted why he was planning to support a bill without a public option, Burris said: "We have a great bill--the best we could get. And it also covers most of our concerns: competition, cost, and accountability." But had anything specifically changed in the text of the bill that helped him change his mind? Burris told THE WEEKLY STANDARD: "It was the disparity provision that was put in, which we had something to do with, in terms of making sure that diabetes and the other diseases that are affecting minorities are really studied by HHS in all of these pilot programs." Turns out Harry Reid just kind of forced the money into his hands, you see. “Three senators came up to me just now on the (Senate) floor, and said, ‘Now we understand what you did. We’ll be seeking this funding too‘,” Nelson said. But the Democratic senator, who has faced a heap of criticism for appearing to trade his vote on health care for millions in federal Medicaid money, said he’s considering asking that the Nebraska deal be stripped from the bill.
Though he defended the exemption as a “fair deal,” he said he never asked for the full federal funding that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid ended up granting his state. Nelson said he instead asked that states be allowed to refuse an expansion of Medicaid.
“This is the way Senate leadership chose to handle it. I never asked for 100 percent funding,” he said.
Nelson has maintained that the only reason he even brought up Medicaid was that Nebraska Republican Gov. Dave Heineman put him up to it. READ MORE...
UPDATE- Don't fall out of your chair...but MSNBC reported on this...shocking..VIDEO
Don't get too excited. NBC has a ton of interest in the public option. (See video below)
With 'healthmaginations' and NBC (Neo-Statist Barack Channel) cutting a deal with Obama and his friend and CEO of GE, Jeffrey Immelt, the cap and trade AND the health care bill with the public option has to pass so NBC can rake in billions of your tax dollars...if not, they sink. Let's hope they sink..and Olbermann, Maddow and Matthews can't swim..
Barack Hussein Obama: The Federal Government will go bankrupt if health care reform isn't passed. Can you believe the nerve of this guy?
"Hey 'Saul Alinsky' Obama, you got that one backwards chief."
This was such an easy pick, how could Politifact miss this? Our 2nd place winner is Politifact itself, for saying they're 'objective.' You can't win a Pulitzer prize (or a Nobel Peace prize) for being 'objective' these days. Who do these people think they're kidding? We're not dumb Obama supporters you know..
Sarah Palin being named biggest liar is just more evidence of how biased and non-objective Angie Holan from Politifact is..How did she miss all of the videos from Obama's health care town halls where Obama averaged a lie like every 42 seconds?!?
How is Sarah Palin the 'lie of the year' winner?!? Obama's health care plan does ration care for the elderly, so her opinion and sarcasm has merit to it. That's what Palin meant by 'death panels.' Hardly 'lie of the year.' All these liberal idiots have to do is read 'Critical' by Tom Daschule, Obama's advisor on health care! (Yes, he's still advising..) From the looks of the NY Times best seller list, it looks like liberals aren't reading that much these days...
Just pick one...

After charges that it illegally promotes Christianity with a nativity scene at Fire Station 12 in West Ashley, the city of Charleston removed the creche from display.
The Wisconsin-based Freedom From Religion Foundation, which advocates separation of church and state, sent a letter dated Dec. 17 to Mayor Joe Riley and Fire Chief Thomas Carr notifying them of the city's Constitutional breach and requesting removal of the creche from the fire station. The letter expressed dismay that the problem has occurred for at least six years. A local resident had complained to the organization about the creche, the letter states.
"As you are aware, this display has been erected each year in December since at least 2004," wrote Freedom From Religion Foundation staff attorney Rebecca S. Kratz. "Last year's display included an illuminated Latin cross (the preeminent symbol of Christianity) atop the firehouse roof. We were pleased to learn that as of the date of this letter, the Fire Department appears to be honoring the separation of church and state by at least not displaying a Latin cross this year."
A large, white, illuminated cross was on display Sunday evening at the station, though no creche was to be seen. The nativity scene had been removed Thursday in response to the complaint, according to fire department personnel. The cross was leaning against a stone memorial to the nine firefighters who died in the 2007 Sofa Super Store blaze. It was not part of a Christmas display, firefighters at the station said READ MORE...

In this video, Crowder comes across bags of needles in a dilapidated home. These needles were most likely provided by the U.S taxpayer through the needle exchange program in Detroit. That's how liberals like to spend your money....
ALL ghetto-cities with high unemployment, crime, drug use, teenage pregnancy, dropout rates, disease, single parents, litter etc..are in cities controlled by democrats. How is that working out for Newark, Philadelphia, Camden, Gary, Chicago, Detroit, Flint, Baltimore, D.C, Miami, Los Angeles, New York City and Memphis? With Obama, Pelosi, Reid and other radical morons at the helm of this country, a 14 trillion dollar debt (and growing daily) 18% unemployment (and climbing) out of control spending, government run health care and cap and trade bills looming, we will soon be there.
Remember, there were people 40 years ago who would of bet the house that Detroit would NEVER be the way it is today and they were wrong. When it comes to fixing the U.S economy, are you willing to put your money on the most radical, corrupt and economically incompetent leftist politicians in U.S history? We would hope not..
This is great. This was on Andrew Wilkow's website- www.wilkowmajority.com Don't feel bad for the people who bought carbon credits; they're idiots.
Andrew Wilkow is a brilliant conservative with a spine and host of 'The Wilkow Majority' on SiriusXM radio. You can listen to Andrew Wilkow weekdays from 1pm-3pm EST on Patriot 144 and again at 12am-3am EST.
We suggest liberals listen to Andrew too. They could learn a lot from Andrew who is the smartest young conservative radio host in the country. He has never lost an argument to a liberal and we challenge liberals to call his show and educate themselves. 1-866-95PATRIOT
Andrew has a well earned phrase on The Wilkow Majority; "we're right, they're wrong, and that's the end of the story." Andrew is right and that's why liberals FEAR him...
We don't know for sure yet whether this is heroic or not. He is one of the very few that has finally seen the light, but one has to wonder what took him so long? The republicans DON'T need another RINO in their party so they should take him for now and see if he is going to be a REAL REPUBLICAN. See if he will join them in stopping a disastrous health care and 'cap and trade' bill, and if not, run a true conservative against him in 2010. The VIDEO below should give the GOP hope.
This was what the OLD democrat party USED to represent. At least some of them..
We would suggest Parker Griffith beef up his security and get ready for the nasty vicious personal attacks coming from the same scumbag liberals who destroyed his party. Maybe he will make Olbermann's 'worlds worst person' tonight...
Anyone who earns that title can only be doing something right.
UPDATE- A fighter jet was ordered by Obama to stand by and wait for Rahm 'brass knuckles' Emanual. Destination- Alabama...
POLITICO has learned that Rep. Parker Griffith, a freshman Democrat from Alabama, will announce today that he’s switching parties to become a Republican.
According to two senior GOP aides familiar with the decision, the announcement will take place this afternoon in Griffith's district in northern Alabama.
Griffith’s party switch comes on the eve of a pivotal congressional health care vote and will send a jolt through a Democratic House Caucus that has already been unnerved by the recent retirements of a handful of members who, like Griffith, hail from districts that offer prime pickup opportunities for the GOP in 2010.
The switch represents a coup for the House Republican leadership, which had been courting Griffith since he publicly criticized the Democratic leadership in the wake of raucous town halls during the summer.
Griffith, who captured the seat in a close 2008 open seat contest, will become the first Republican to hold the historically Democratic, Huntsville-based district. A radiation oncologist who founded a cancer treatment center, Griffith plans to blast the Democratic health care bill as a prime reason for his decision to switch parties—and is expected to cite his medical background as his authority on the subject.
While the timing of his announcement was unexpected, Griffith’s party switch will not come as a surprise to those familiar with his voting record, which is one of the most conservative among Democrats. READ MORE... VIDEO BELOW
NOTE- You might remember the honest democrat Parker Griffith for making one of the most honest statements of the century last year about Nancy Pelosi and the progressive liberals that have hijacked and destroyed the democratic party.
Signs of Griffith’s dissatisfaction with his party began to surface publicly during the summer recess, when he received an earful of criticism from constituents.
In August — one month after Republicans picked up his former state legislative seat in a special election — Griffith told a local newspaper that he wouldn't vote for Nancy Pelosi to remain as House Speaker because she's too divisive. He joked that if she didn’t like it, he’d provide her with a gift certificate to a mental health center.
We don't think Griffith was joking at all. All you have to do is look and listen to Nancy Pelosi. Observe her constant arrogance and disrespect for the rule of law and her ignorance of the constitution she swore to uphold; she is either mentally retarded or mentally deranged.
"Hey dickhead, did you read the bill?" (No, he didn't) "Hey dickhead, are you calling progressive liberals, moderates, seniors and veterans who are against the bill 'birthers, right-wing militias and aryan group members?' Are you effin serious?"
People like Sheldon Whitehouse, Alan Greyson, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Barack Obama, Dick Durbin, Al Franken and Barney Frank are the 'gift that keeps on giving' for a future of 'anything but democrat,' which can only be great for America..
This has been hands down the most secretive, corrupt and deceptive administration in history. (Just listen to Press Secretary Robert Gibbs at a press conference) If it wasn't for people like Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage, Mark Levin, Andrew Wilkow, Mike Church, FOX news and a few others, most Americans would have no clue what they're REALLY doing in Washington behind the backs or working (and freeloading) Americans. Why do you think Axelrod, Obama, Pelosi and NBC attack FOX and talk radio constantly? It's because they think you're stupid enough to listen to them..(again, for all of you Obama supporters- they conned you once, don't let them do it to you again.)

A legal firebrand whose work fighting corruption left both Bill Clinton and Dick Cheney on the defensive today took on Barack Obama, suing the president for secret meetings with Planned Parenthood and other lobbyists on his plans to nationalize health care.
Larry Klayman, founder of Judicial Watch and, more recently, Freedom Watch USA, filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., under the Federal Advisory Committee Act. The law requires disclosure of records of meetings between the executive branch and outside industry lobbyists. It also requires access to meetings.
Klayman raised the same issues during the early years of the Clinton administration, contributing to the demise of the health care proposal championed by Hillary Clinton.
The lawsuit charges that in Obama's "haste to socialize medicine in the United States, and increase government control generally," he has "violated his commitment to transparency." READ MORE...
A new report reveals a British scientist and Wikipedia administrator rewrote climate history, editing more than 5,000 unique articles in the online encyclopedia to cover traces of a medieval warming period – something Climategate scientists saw as a major roadblock in the effort to spread the global warming message.
Recently hacked e-mails from the University of East Anglia's Climate Research Unit expose a plot to eliminate the Medieval Warm Period, a 400-year era that began around A.D. 1000, the Financial Post's Lawrence Solomon reports.
The warming period is said to have improved agriculture and increased life spans, but scientists at the center of the Climategate e-mail scandal believed the era undermined their goal of spreading concern about global warming as it pertains to today's climate.
Solomon noted the warming period presented a dilemma long before the Climategate e-mail scandal.
A 1995 e-mail predating the recent Climate Research Unit scandal was sent to geophysicist David Deming. A major climate-change researcher told Deming, "We have to get rid of the Medieval Warm Period."
Some scientists later expressed concern about erasing the period. READ MORE...
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), using exceptionally heated language, called the health care bill on Sunday "seedy Chicago politics,” “backroom deals that amount to bribes,” “Enron accounting,” “the worst of Washington,” “phony,” and a “sham,” adding that Obama’s campaign slogan of “change you can believe in, after this health care bill debacle is now becoming an empty slogan.”
Asked it the Senate bill was a done deal, Graham, appearing on CNN's "State of the Union," replied:
“This is far from over. The House and Senate bills are in many ways irreconcilable. But you know, I like David. He ran a brilliant campaign, but they're doing a lousy job governing the country, in my view. You know, change you can believe in, after this health care bill debacle is now becoming an empty slogan. And it's really been replaced by seedy Chicago politics, when you think about it, backroom deals that amount to bribes.”
Host John King interjected: “Bribes -- that's a strong word.”
Graham defended his choice of words: “Well, it is, oh, absolutely, it's a strong word. It was meant to be strong; principled compromised -- I mean, a compromise sold as a principled solution to an emotional problem like abortion that's fallen flat; Enron accounting techniques -- everything that people were upset with about Washington has gotten worse. And this bill personifies the worst of Washington.” READ MORE...
NOTE- Yes, the RINO Lindsey Graham is right about this one, but why his sudden concern for the constitution? He is one of many politicians who seem to ignore the constitution most of the time and now he wants to defend it?
How can Graham be against the health care bill, but support the 'cap and trade' bill?!? They're both disasters and both unconstitutional!
He supported the radical leftist Sonia Sotomayor as a Supreme Court Judge for crying out loud! Did Lindsey Graham consider the constitution when slobbering all over her?
Far too many judicial activists like Sonia Sotomayor have used PERSONAL feelings, not the law and Constitution, to impose their personal left-wing policy preferences upon our legal system, yet Graham supported her.
Lindsey Graham is NOT a conservative, he's a RINO and hypocrite. Just because he's right about his statements yesterday, doesn't mean we want to see him in the Senate in 2011. We hope he is defeated and replaced by a true constitutional conservative in 2010.
